Businesses we contact about our services
We sometimes email UK limited companies whose work we think our services could help. This section explains what we hold about the people at those businesses, and why.
What we hold. The business name, its website, its Companies House record, the business email address it publishes, and the name of the person we write to: a director listed at Companies House, or the person the website names as owner or main contact. We also note a short detail from the website that we mention in our email, and notes on what the website offers that bears on our services (for example, whether it advertises 24/7 callouts, or has an enquiry form or live chat). We keep a record of our emails and any reply.
Where it comes from. The business's own website and the public Companies House register. We never buy contact lists and never guess email addresses.
Why, and on what basis. To tell the business about services that may be useful to it. The legal basis is legitimate interests: introducing relevant services to a business, using contact details it has chosen to publish, with a clear way to say no in every email.
Who handles it. Us, plus the service providers that store or process it on our behalf, including our email provider and the AI and web-research tools we use to find businesses and draft our emails. We don't sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it. Up to 12 months after our last contact. If you ask us to stop, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we never email you again.
Your rights. Reply "stop", or contact us via our website, and we'll stop straight away. You can also ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
